The
film will be shot around the conversation between Grace and Alida, bouncing
back and forth between the conversation in the present and memories. I would
make the ratio of memory to conversation scenes 1:1. For the climax of the
narratives drama, the description of Alida sending the letter and Grace
receiving it, should use narration from the present and actions occurring before
the audience in the past. As Grace approaches the Colosseum, the camera will
pan out from the entrance of the Colosseum to the café where Grace and Alida
are conversing in the present. The original story would be preserved to the
best of my ability.
The
actors for Grace and Alida were chosen as I enjoyed them in Freaky Friday and
The Importance of Being Earnest respectively. With my hypothetical film
providing more attention to the memories of Grace and Alida, I wanted to select
actors for Grace and Delphine who had already been costars. I decided on Keira Knightley
and Orlando Bloom because, for lack of better words, the original Pirates of
the Caribbean is my favorite movie and I thought it would be cool for them to
be in another movie together. I choose Natalie Portman to play Alida from the
past because I thought it would be cool for her and Keira Knightley to be in
another film after being in Star Wars – The Phantom Menace together. I thoroughly
enjoy Iva Davies instrumentals from Master and Commander, having music pairing
very well to fun vibes along with captivating suspenseful pieces. In the movie
I would like a violinist to play in the café, and in the memories a traditional
score would be played.
